The number of corona virus cases in Nigeria has risen to 42, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said on Tuesday.
Giving an update on the number of affected persons in the country, the NCDC on it’s twitter handle said two more persons had tested positive to the virus, bringing the number to 42.
It said, “2 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria. 1 is in Lagos State & 1 in Ogun.
One case is a returning traveler. The second case is contact of a previously confirmed case
“As at 1pm on March 24, there are 42 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria-2 discharged, 1 death”.
Amuwo Parrot News (APN) is however unsure if the figures provided by the NCDC capture the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, who have also both tested positive to the deadly disease.
