The fashion world is mourning the loss of prolific haute couture designer Karl Lagerfeld, 85, who died at a Paris hospital after a short battle with illness. The German-born fashion icon worked up until his death as the Creative Director for three fashion houses, including Chanel, Fendi, and Lagerfeld. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour issued a statement saying the ‘world lost a giant among men’ and described Lagerfeld as ‘brilliant’ and ‘deeply kind’.
