Voters fled the polling units in Suntulma Gama primary school in Nassarawa local government area of Kano state on Saturday, when suspected thugs disrupted the electoral.
The suspects, who brandished weapons freely wore T-shirts with an inscription of one of the leading political parties.
The thugs also attacked two journalists Maduabuchi Nmeribe of The Authority, and Kola Oyelere of Tribune.
A Twitter user uploaded a video of one of the polling units.
Alongside the video, she wrote: “The news coming out of Kano is disheartening. We are hearing of armed thugs attacking voters and disrupting the polls This video is out of Minjibir where voting was allegedly disrupted by armed thugs”
