Among the victims were the son of the Chief Imam of Ode-Omi, Abdulazeez Sanni and two others – Adams Bamidele and Jelili Adams – who were kidnapped on August 10, 2019, being the eve of the Eid al-Adha celebration.
They were kidnapped at a boundary community between Lagos and Ogun states.
They however regained their freedom 24 hours later after the items were delivered to the kidnappers, according to Punch.
“The kidnappers collected N3.5m, carton of schnapps, 30 litres of palm oil, 10 tubers of yam and a five-litre keg of vegetable oil,” the newspaper quoted a family source as saying.
