Outstanding lawyer and entrepreneur, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, says dedication to nationhood is the pathway to a prosperous Nigeria. Reflecting on the 59th independence anniversary of Nigeria, Prince Nwoko, in a goodwill message, declared that patriotism followed by hard work, sacrifice, and attitude of honour were the ideals vital to the survival and progress of the nation.
He Said the founding fathers of modern Nigeria like the Late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Alhaji Tafawa Belewa and chief Obafemi Awolowo bequeathed a legacy of integrity. Nwoko called for a collective national conscience that would promote moral rectitude and strengthen unity, peace and diversity as our common patrimony.
” We must work for the peace, unity and progress of the nation and shun corruption, greed, sectarian and tribal sentiments. That is the direction we must all seek in Nigeria ‘s search for self-identity in the face of daunting social, political and economic challenges. As compatriots, sincerity of purpose should be our goal towards a new Nigeria” Nwoko noted.
He said the task of nation building required the zeal of all Nigerians irrespective of class, origin, creed or political leaning and expressed optimism that the nation would surmount her constraints with patriotic latitude.
While wishing a happy independence celebration, Nwoko said the natural potentials of Nigeria and the human talents that abound mark her out as a promising nation in the global community.
He counseled that as the people keep hope alive for a better tomorrow, dignity of labor must take preeminence in Nigeria.
