WE WILL DEAL WITH ANYBODY WHO POST VIDEOS & PICTURES RELEASE BY BOKO HARAM

The Nigerian army insists that the photos and videos of Boko Haram attack on military bases are fake.

According to the statement published by the army, they are doctored materials obviously serving the purposes intended by the terrorists to misinform the populace, spread panic, hatred, religious intolerance and above all to undermine national security.

While reacting to the videos, the Nigerian army said they will deal decisively with media houses, social media websites and facebook users spreading photos and videos of the attack released by the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram.

“Whilst appreciating the concerns of well-meaning Nigerians who genuinely care for the well-being of its military, the NA wants to draw the attention of its detractors to the fact that spreading of fake news is an offense and violates the provisions of Section 24(1)(a),(b) and (2)(a),(b),(c)(i),(ii) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition & Prevention etc) Act, 2015.
